Dogs & Muslim
Dear readers,
especially my fellow Malay friends.
I am sorry if you will be affected by my entry
To those who eager for some knowledge or with pure curiosity, read with an open heart, clear mind & throw away the judgmental disease
today im going to write about Dogs & Muslim
Well, Dogs is a taboo in Muslim world.
WHY??
Dogs are dirty
Dogs are unclean
Islam said Dog is Haram (islam said or Malay??)
& the list goes on and on and on and on.....
Islam teaches its followers to be merciful to all creatures, and all form of animal cruelty is forbidden. Why then, do many Muslims seems to have such a problem with dogs?
Yes, they said saliva/pee/poo of the dog are dirty. we need to samak to clean it up.
How to samak??
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "If a dog licks the vessel of any
one of you, let him throw away whatever was in it and wash it seven
times." (Reported by Muslim)
see, Rasulullah SAW taught us how to clean from dog's impurities. There is a way. Nowadays, people come out with soap made of earth (soil) called Sabun Taharah. Senang kan Islam??
There are many verses in Quran & hadith about dogs.
They are true companion :
The story in the Quran (Surah 18) about a group of believers
who sought shelter in a cave and were protected by their canine
companion who was "outstretched in their midst."
Hunting dogs :
"They consult you concerning what is lawful for them; say,
Lawful for you are all good things, including what trained dogs and
falcons catch for you. You train them according God's teachings. You may
eat what they catch for you, and mention God's name thereupon. You
shall observe God. God is most efficient in reckoning." -Quran 5:4
Story of people who were forgiven for the past sins by helping a dog :
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "A prostitute was forgiven by
Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the
dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it
with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave
her because of that."
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "A man felt very thirsty while he
was on the way, there he came across a well. He went down the well,
quenched his thirst and came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and
licking mud because of excessive thirst. He said to himself, "This dog
is suffering from thirst as I did." So, he went down the well again and
filled his shoe with water and watered it. Allah thanked him for that
deed and forgave him. (Reported by Bukhari)
Based on these verses & dalil above, it is a matter of faith to be kind towards dogs (or other animals)
However, i would not neglect that it is not advisable to keep them as a pet.
There are also some hadiths saying :
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever keeps a dog, his good deeds will decrease every day by one qeeraat (a unit of measurement), unless it is a dog for farming or herding." In another report, it is said: "... unless it is a dog for herding sheep, farming or hunting." (Reported by al-Bukhaari)
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or an animate picture." (Reported by Bukhari)
Yes, you'll lose pahala by having a dog in your house (as a pet) & angel will not enter your house. but Hello, there is no statement saying that dog is Haram to our touch.
Im not being defensive, but seriously dogs are not haram... unless you eat them, then it is haram.. i am totally agree that it is not advisable to keep them as a pet. (cant you people understand this??)
Come on people, there is much more "bigger stuff" you should worry other than me taking selfie with my neighbor's dog.
It is really fascinating to watch how much small thing like this affecting THOSE TYPICAL MALAY & they publicly make themselves look stupid.
hey, I have no issue with malay... I am a Malay & I am proud for who i am.
but i am ashamed for Malay who claimed to know so much but actually know nothing..
I was born as a Muslim, in a Malay family....
I can be a Muslim, born in a Chinese family or indian family or kadazan or iban or pape je...
So race is just a race...
what matter is your religion.
Im a Muslim, my religion is ISLAM
Islam teach us to obey Allah & Rasulullah.
Islam is simple. Islam teach us to be kind to others
Islam is simple. Islam teach us to be kind to others
Islam teach us to read, to seek knowledge to seek truth
true muslim are fuel with curiosity to know more...
ask yourself, are we Islam enough??
well, i am not. but im learning to be a better muslim day by day
honestly, i didnt see touching a dog will disgrace malay's community
first, i didnt do anything wrong by touching Allah's creature
second, why la you all so narrow minded?? why need to see the negative part of it??
why make things so complicated??
why you all so lazy to do some research and understand more about islam?
read about what is "do & dont in Islam "
we live in the world that require us to think about many things..
sometimes we tend to over-thinking about something..
well, STOP right there fellas!!
you'll be creating more mess once you start thinking too much (especially things you dont know or know very little)
and judging is a terminal cancer !!
pick your stand.
still wanna be a typical malay that know almost nothing but act like they know everything
or READ & UNDERSTAND ISLAM and be a better Muslim
ps: you should worry about Gaza or world hidden conspiracy or global warming rather than debating about a MALAY TOUCH DOG stuff... you are so lame...
tag line:
stay if you feel comfortable, leave if you feel too much to absorb
peace no war
